Mark O’Donoghue

Mark, our minister, is married to Claire and they have three children – Kate, Charlie and Jack. Mark got going as a Christian while at university at Durham and spent 7 years as a corporate finance lawyer before switching to gospel ministry. Mark is a music lover with a wide ranging taste from classical to Coldplay, Opera to U2, Wagner to Mumford & Sons. He is also a passionate supporter of Chelsea FC and a keen fan of England’s cricket and rugby teams.


Deputy Warden- Stephen Down

Stephen is a committed Christian and active member of Christ Church Kensington and has lived in the area for over 25 years. He is a dedicated family man and has been married to his wife Sue for over 25 years and has three children, Rebecca, Jack and Elspeth, all of whom are at University or further education at the moment. Stephen is a Chartered Surveyor and specialises in the Commercial Investment area in Central London where he has been based for over 25 years and which takes him overseas frequently to meet investor clients. He spends his spare time playing Tennis, Gardening and sailing on the Solent. What time he has left over is spent supporting Chelsea as well as watching England at rugby .

Director of Music- Leo Tomita

Leo is Director of Music at Christ Church. In this role, he conducts a choir of eight singers who sing traditional choral repertoire. Prior to this, he studied at the University of Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music.Leo is currently exploring full-time ministry with the church of England. As part of his training at Christ Church, Leo is involved in Sunday morning service-planning with Mark, making sure that the music fits with the sermon theme each Sunday. Leo is also involved with the Sunday evening ministry and Wednesday evening small groups, working with Rob Perkins.

Leo is married to Emma, and is secretly a fan of Arsenal football club.


Adele Pye

Adele is the Administrator at Christ Church. This can involve anything from sorting out falling down walls to organising elegant fund-

raising balls along with all the day-to-day tasks that help everything at Christ Church run smoothly. Over the years Adele has worked with various Christian organisations and churches, including working with Students with UCCF, and for a lunchtime church for workers meeting in the Fleet Street area. Adele likes to imagine herself on the Great British Bake Off, or the Great British Sewing Bee, but remains content with just pretending while baking and sewing at home.
