NHS Test and Trace - By reserving a seat for a service you agree that your details may be shared with the necessary authorities in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.
COVID-19 Symptoms - If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (or have been in contact with someone who has) please do not attend a live service at Christ Church. Please also stay at home if you have been asked to isolate after returning from a foreign country. If you test positive to COVID-19 after a live service, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can organise appropriate cleaning and notify NHS Test and Trace.
Masks - Following Church of England guidelines everyone over the age of 11 is required to wear a face mask in the church building, unless you are medically exempt. There will be a limited amount of masks available outside church, but please bring your own if you have one!
Tickets - Our capacity is limited in order to maintain a safe and socially-distanced environment so please reserve your free ticket online before you come to church. Please only book tickets you will use so someone else doesn’t miss out. You can book tickets for each Sunday service via our Calendar and weekly email. If you would like to sign up to revice the email, click here. We will keep a few tickets free for guests who arrive on the day but can’t guarantee admission.
Arrival - Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the service to allow time for queuing. Please maintain social distancing whilst queuing. Access to the building will be through the main doors only and you will be shown to a seat by an usher. Please remain in your seat for the duration of the service.
Hygiene - Everyone will be asked to sanitise their hands on entry. We will have some available at the entrance for those who don’t have their own. All high touch surfaces will be sanitised between services. The toilets will be open but please avoid using them unless absolutely necessary. Please bring your own bible, notebook and pen. There will be a small number of church bibles and kneelers available, please collect on your way in and leave by the exit as you leave. Please also take all service sheets, flyers and personal items away with you at the end.
Social Distancing - Seating will be arranged in accordance with the latest social distancing guidelines. Households and family units will be able to sit together as a bubble - please also maintain distancing when moving around the building.
Families - During the 11am service there will be a group for primary school children which will be limited in number. All preschool and secondary school children will be required to remain seated with their family at all times. There will be some family seating available at the back of church and on the balcony, and the rooms upstairs can be used by families during the service if necessary. A small activity pack will be provided but please bring your own stationery and/or toys. Sunday School videos will continue to be available online, you can view the resources here. Please see Families FAQs for more information.
Singing - To prevent any risk of transmission, we will not be singing together as a group for the time being however the service will include hymns/songs played live that we can listen to.
Departure - After the service you will be asked to leave promptly so sadly there will be no tea or coffee served. Please wait to be ushered out via the door at the back of church.
Meet before or after church - We are encouraging people to meet in the park, following current social distancing guidelines. We hope that will be a great time for being together as a church family!
Contact - If you have any questions please drop an email to email@example.com and Adele or someone from the staff team will get back to you.
