5pm Service

Our evening service is informal and followed by supper for those who can stay.

If you are arriving in London to begin work or study, you will find many people in this service at your stage of life. But we also love to have families with us, and there is an outstanding children’s programme for 0–11s, run within the church building, for which the children leave partway through the service.

The music is generally contemporary, led by a highly skilled band, but our aim for the service as a whole is to be biblical, accessible and balanced, and so we draw from Christian tradition through all the centuries.

At the service’s heart is the reading and preaching of the Bible, thoughtfully and carefully applied to our lives. Even if you have never been to church before, we think that you will find it interesting and helpful.

The service lasts for an hour. We serve tea and coffee from 4.30pm, and afterwards we serve a light supper (£1.75), which gives us all a chance to catch up with friends and perhaps chat about what we have heard. During term time, this leads into ‘Any Questions’ at 6.45pm, to which anyone is welcome.
