Children & Youth
Sunday Groups
We love having children and young people at Christ Church and want to make sure our Sunday services are a place where the whole family can learn about Jesus. We run a number of groups that meet during and after the 11am and 5pm services and there is a crèche room available with a video link to the services.
11am Kids
Crèche
0 - 18 months
The room at the top of the stairs is the perfect place for families with babies aged 0-18 months. It has toys, comfortable chairs for nursing and a video link to the service.
Mustard Seeds
18 months - 3 years
A supervised group for pre-schoolers with a bible story, songs and toys. We join with Roots for the first half before splitting off to play. The group is accessed through the sliding doors at the back of the building.
Roots
Reception - Yr 2
We follow a regular pattern of songs, games, craft and activities to help us understand the big Bible story better. We teach big truths to small children and pray that strong roots would be formed for a lifetime of faith. We meet with Mustard Seeds at the back of the building.
Shoots
Yr 3–6
In shoots we follow the same teaching programme as Roots with more time looking at the bible passage for ourselves. We meet at the front of the building in the Vestry.
Youth
Younger Youth
11 - 14s
Younger youth head upstairs during the 11am service to play some fun games and discuss the same part of the the bible that the sermon is on that day.
Older Youth
14 - 18s
Older youth gather upstairs after the 11am service to play games, catch up and discuss the sermon together.
5pm Kids
Little Kids
18 months - 3 years
A supervised group for pre-schoolers with singing, a bible story, toys and lots of fun!
Big Kids
Reception - Yr 6
We follow a regular pattern of songs, games, craft and activities to help us understand the big Bible story better.
