11am Service
Our morning service has a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
That is partly because of the five different groups for 0s–18s we run, but it is also because we try to make everything engaging and easy to follow, even if you have never been to church before.
The music is good without being a performance: you can expect a couple of classic hymns played on an organ and two modern songs led by a band.
There is a variety of readings and prayers from the Bible, one or two other prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, news, interviews and an all-age talk.
But at the heart of the service is a sermon, in which the preacher will seek to teach the Bible honestly and connect it thoughtfully to our lives.
The service lasts for an hour. Afterwards we serve tea and coffee for adults, and run informal games for children, so that their parents are free to chat with others. There is also a group for 15–18s to reflect on what they have heard.
About once a month, at 12.45pm there is a lunch (£2.50) – places are always limited so sign up through the calendar.
